“We did well facing a team that played mostly at the back and against a very tight defense. Even so, we had quite a few chances, the team’s spirit was strong and with our fans’ help we managed to win.
The rematch in Crete will be tough. We must show our character, impose our own style of play and no matter whether or not we are the favorites, we must always strive for the victory.”

“The fans have always been on our side. The most important thing for me is that we won the game and I am all the more happy for having turned things in my favor.
It was no easy game. O.F.I. had a solid defense and we appeared a bit tired after our last game. The essential is that we won and will now have enough time to prepare appropriately for the rematch.
Mathematically we have not yet sealed the championship. We will do all we can in order to celebrate the title for ourselves, our families, our coaching staff, our fans and of course our president.”

“I will have to agree with our coach. O.F.I. gave us a hard time tonight for obvious reasons. They played mainly at the back. During the first half we tried to impose our own rhythm and create all the chances that we could. In the end we managed to score. This now gives us a 1-0 lead into the second leg.
I think that the game in Crete will be more open by both sides as our opponent will be forced to play that way.
We will go there to win as we do in every match. We have the potential to do so because we really want to advance to the final.
To begin with, I believe that we have a wide-range roster the players of which can assist the team at any given moment. Tonight we managed to conceal adequately our fatigue. It was only at some points that we showed to be a little tired. We pressured the opponents high from the beginning and it showed. Although the remaining matches are demanding I believe that we can rise to the occasion.”
