As a result, the home team had an easy afternoon against Levadiakos who couldn’t support the pressure ending up with an own goal by Korbos at 41 minutes. This 1-0 lead appears to have given the reds a confidence boost and some beautiful combinations followed, resulting into a second goal at 44 minutes when Ibagaza made a cross to Mirallas who doubled the lead for Olympiacos.
In the second half, Levadiakos played great defence and tried some counter-attacks, one of which worked and Napoleoni scored at 65 minutes. However, the home team had yet another goal coming only two minutes later; Maniatis from the right side made a cross to Mirallas who netted the ball with a header at 67 minutes and sealed the game’s final score.
