One hundred and fifty households were happy to accept supplies which OLYMPIACOS F.C. purchased for them, following an initiative by the President of the club, Mr. Evangelos Marinakis.
Father Dimitrios welcomed the players and after thanking them for their attendance happily received by the hands of Yiannis Maniatis a check of 3.000 €; a financial aid by OLYMPIACOS F.C.
Father Dimitrios said: “We would like to thank and welcome Olympiacos. Although just a part of the club is with us here today, I feel as though it’s its strong part. We would also like to thank Olympiacos Football Club as a whole, its President, Mr. Evangelos Marinakis, as well as the board of directors and all those people who put their heart and soul into this club, trying to make it a greater one still. Before you there are 150 families who are waiting to receive bags with goods offered to them by Olympiacos. This action is not something new but has been taking place for years, always thanks to the support of Olympiacos”
Representing his teammates and the entire family of Olympiacos, Yiannis Fetfatzidis said:“We feel happy and sad at the same time. We are happy to be able to offer something to these people in need but we are also sad to realize once again the difficulty of the situation and of the times we live in. Olympiacos will continue to assist as much as possible the people in need and we players will keep on offering them joy from the pitch.”
