Here are his words:
“It was a beautiful match, with many great moments. Personally I am very happy with our team; as I saw, we had 22 shots. We created many opportunities in the last 25 minutes of the first half, but also in the second half. Unfortunately, luck was not on our side this evening.
The absence of Ibagaza shouldn’t matter. Olympiacos is a great team and as such, can play without Ibagaza or Makoun, who was our best player tonight, or without Fejsa. We have a vast number of players who, as you saw, can get us through difficult moments.
Furthermore, this match was good for Greek Football, as we all saw today.
The crowd of Olympiacos was amazing once again and I would like to thank them for their behaviour in the stadium.
Now, we must concentrate on the future. We are the best team. If we had been a bit luckier tonight, the score would have been something closer to 5-1, 5-2, 6-2, with no exaggeration, but it doesn’t matter. We must look ahead. We have a difficult game in Marseille coming up and we will do our best; I am very positive for the future. Thank you all very much.”
