In the framework of its social dimension and following one more initiative by the club’s President, Mr. Evangelos Marinakis, a group of representatives, headed by Olympiacos FC Vice President, Mr. Yiannis Moralis and Thrylos S.A. C.E.O. George Pavlou and consisting of the Head of the Scouting Department, Darko Kovacevic, the Head of the Football Department Tasos Mitropoulos, Scouts Giorgos Amanatidis and Giorgos Kokkolakis, as well as Academy executive Vasilis Nanos, visited the “Dikeoma sti Zoi” (“Right to Life”) institution for children with special needs on Saturday afternoon. The representation of Olympiacos also included youngsters from Olympiacos’ School of Football in Chania and Heraklion, Crete who distributed gifts to the kids of the institution. Furthermore, OLYMPIACOS F.C. donated €5,000 to support the foundation’s activities.
In his comments, OLYMPIACOS FC Vice President, Mr. Yiannis Moralis, stressed that further to its sporting nature and in accordance with its social responsibilities, the club is bound to support important acts which contribute to society as a whole. On the other hand, the foundation’s representatives underlined the importance of the support by clubs such as Olympiacos which can be an example and help make foundations such as “Dikeoma sti Zoi” (assisting children become part of society) viable.
